MENTORSHIP
With over 10 years of experience in the music production industry, I have gained a high level of understanding when it comes to electronic music mix-downs, sound design, composition, arrangement, mastering, marketing and so much more!
In the past three years, I have taught over 80 different clients online, who wished to improve their music - often in drum and bass, but also in other electronic music genres. I have many positive reviews- you can even watch student feedback videos on my Instagram highlights!
Many of these clients have gone on to have high successes in the music industry, such as signing to record labels like RAM records and Hospital records, with many going on to perform live shows - playing their own music in front of big crowds, regardless of any record label involvements.
What I am looking for are self motivated individuals who will book in production lessons on their own accord and be ready to get down to business right from the start. The more you put in to my mentorship, the more you will get out of it. That means paying close attention, asking many, many questions along the way, doing your homework & taking lots of notes!
I do not have a planned structure or curriculum because I sincerely believe that I am naturally able to directly pinpoint your weaknesses in music production and level you up in the most efficient & quickest way that I know possible. This is often done during the process of improving one of your own projects together & discussing the production decisions we make along the way.
My mentorship approach is targeted at meeting you exactly at the level you are at now - and pushing you in the best direction for the next steps of your development! That’s why having things tailored to you in a specific way will help you grow faster than a universal, more structured, or rigid approach.
In today’s day and age speed is paramount - and that’s why highly focused mentorship sessions are more beneficial, in my opinion. This is especially important in a very saturated music marketplace where it is difficult to get your name & music heard, without a unique voice.
Once I have levelled up your mix-down quality along with your sound design techniques & arrangement skills, then it is also possible for me to mentor you about developing your own style, mastering your own music and marketing yourself online as an artist. Developing a high quality sound which is unique to you, should be the top priority to begin with, however.
Please make sure you are prepared with a good quality operating system, stable internet connection, the free version of zoom, a microphone and webcam. But above all else please make sure you pursue my services until you have reached your end goal & book your sessions accordingly in the calendar below. A weekly 1 or 2 hour routine is the most optimum frequency, I have found. It is possible to book 2 hour sessions if desired.
As long as you have a basic understanding of the DAW you are using, it is not important as to which exact software you use, because all of the principles are universal. I will recommend some basic free plug-ins during the sessions, should you be lacking them in your current production toolkit.
